ads – charles & colvard

For this ad, I was tasked with creating a .GIF that featured imagery from our Couture photoshoot, while speaking to our End of Year Sale. I wanted to use the imagery in a way that felt sleek, sexy, and elevated, so I paneled the imagery on both sides to better engage the consumer. I also broke up the sale messaging to both better engage the consumer and allow the sale messaging to live more prominent on certain frames.

This ad was a sale concept that I created on my own, and then workshopped with one of our photographers. We already knew the direction of our holiday campaign, and carefully selected the background material, envelope, and paper to go inside of the envelope. She and I worked closely together to shoot each frame and to place the product in a way that communicated the product we were selling in conjunction with sale messaging. I wanted this ad to feel as though the consumer was “invited” to shop.

For this ad, I was given the video from our video team, and styled both the type and the transitions. I selected and timed all type transitions so that they felt organically paired with the mood and timing of the video.
For this video ad, I was tasked with figuring out a way to to place sale messaging in an ad that did not allow for type placement throughout without losing the focus of the product being shown. I workshopped the idea with my Junior Designer, and we came up with the idea of creating a title card that sampled the color and holiday elements so that it did not distract from the product, and spoke clearly to the sale. I created the type treatment, and also animated the light going across the foil so that it felt connected to the light moving across the elements in the background of the video.
For this ad, I simply created the type styling, and placed all graphic elements in the video.

For the Bridal Sale ad above, I was given the direction to work with our content from our Fall/Winter Bridal Shoot. Because our brand focuses on the fact that we are “made, not mined” I sampled the background of the photos and utilized the beautiful nature backgrounds to act as a border. I wanted to subtly convey that we are eco conscientious. I also came up with the idea to animate the “last chance” text as more elegant way of communicating the final hours of our bridal sale.
